About GTM Advanced Structures

At GTM Advanced Structures, we share a relentless passion for excellence. We specialize in developing, manufacturing, and testing advanced structural panels and assemblies – such as high-end aluminum-honeycomb sandwich panels – for the aerospace and space industries. Our products are integrated into cutting-edge satellite systems where failure is not an option. As we scale production, we are looking for a skilled Operator to strengthen our manufacturing team on the shop floor.

The Role

We are looking for an Operator preferably with hands-on experience who enjoys precise, high-quality manufacturing work. You will execute production steps for aerospace structures – preparation, bonding, lay-up, curing support, assembly, and finishing – according to clear work instructions and quality standards. This is a practical role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, follows procedures carefully, and wants to grow in a high-tech production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Production execution: Carry out day-to-day manufacturing operations for sandwich panels and structural assemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and process sheets.
• Material handling and preparation: Prepare materials, tools, and workstations; handle aerospace materials carefully and keep the workplace orderly and traceable.
• Process discipline: Follow welding, bonding, assembly, and inspection steps with attention to timing, cleanliness, and process parameters.
• Quality and documentation: Check your own work, report deviations early, and complete production records and checklists accurately.
• Equipment and safety: Use production equipment safely and responsibly; support basic maintenance and keep tools and machines in good working order.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in production, quality, and engineering to keep the daily flow running smoothly.

Your Profile

• Education: MBO or HBO in Process Operator / Procestechniek, Electrical Engineering (Elektrotechniek), Welding (Lasser), Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical direction.
• Experience: Preferably some practical work experience as an operator in manufacturing, assembly, metalworking, electrical, or a similar production environment.
• Hands-on mindset: You like working with your hands, follow instructions precisely, and stay calm when quality and detail matter.
• Quality awareness: You understand that small mistakes can have large consequences in aerospace production – accuracy and care come naturally to you.
• Technical affinity: Comfortable with tools, measuring equipment, and light technical troubleshooting; welding, electrical, or process-operator skills are a plus.
• Language: Working level of English and/or Dutch

What We Offer

• Meaningful work: Build hardware that flies in space, in a specialized aerospace manufacturing company.
• Growth: Room to develop further on the shop floor and deepen your skills in high-end production processes.
• Team and culture: A passionate, practical team where craftsmanship and quality are valued every day.
• Conditions: Competitive salary and benefits aligned with your experience and education level.
